Adjusting to a “new normal” is how many describe what the pandemic has forced us to do during the last couple of years. The process has led many of us to value different things, including alternative workspaces and creative ways to stay active. Luckily, Sparks, Nevada has embraced these pandemic challenges and offers families some fun and exciting ways to adapt to our collective new normal.

Defy Sparks

Defy Sparks, a trampoline park located in Sparks, launched itself onto the scene in 2019, helping save the day for Northern Nevada’s parents and families seeking new ways to bring physical activity and fun into the lives of their kids. The trampoline park, filled with trampolines, obstacles and other fun activities, is a hidden Sparks gem that offers tons of fun the whole family can jump into.

Pah Rah Mountain Park is another great exercise/play option for kids of all different skill levels and abilities. The park’s unique inclusive playground offers ADA-accessible features, including a swing and carousel custom-built for wheelchair access. The playground’s features are heavily shaded, protecting the equipment and providing comfort during hot summer months. Sparks has an estimated 60 parks, but Pah Rah is the only one that offers these inclusive play structures.

And when it’s time to go back to work after all the play, the City of Sparks has you covered with a new co-working space: Ant Space Coworking.

Ant Space Coworking is a work destination designed for freelancers, startups, and any and all remote workers. The space offers plenty of different ways for remote workers to grow, learn, and collaborate together.
